Welcome to Adeline's Dance World.

Adeline Lee, who has several Professional Latin dance Champion titles to her name and now an experienced and marvelous
ballroom dancing instructor and certified Judge of the International DanceSport Federation, founded Taipei Dance Lovers' Latin
Dance Company in 1995. This dance company includes around thirty excellent dancers who have won countless trophies and are
very actively participating in both Taiwan and international DanceSport/ballroom dance competitions. In Auguest 2005, the
dance company had just presented an outstanding performance at the Red Playhouse in Taipei which has drawn the extensive attention
from ballroom dance lovers and the media in Taipei and had been praised as one of the most wonderful dance art event of the
present year. Other than performances and competitions, this dance company also offer versatile curriculum in Adeline's studio
with faculty that all dance lovers can't afford to miss. The aim of the dance company and Adeline is to share their passion
for ballroom dancing and to help those who love moving with the rhythm but are not yet able to improve themselves. It's a
friendly and energetic environment for everyone to learn and practice dancing, no matter it's a biginner or a trained dancer.
Ballroom dancing is a partner dancing, but you don't have to have a partner to be able to go to the class. Although if
you are interested in being a competiter you do need one eventually. Ballroom dancing / DanceSport have two big chategories:
One is a group of dances called Standard Dances. Standard comprises altogether five different dances: the Waltz, Tango, Viennese
Waltz, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep. Another is a group of dances called Latin American Dances. Latin American comprises five
different dances as well: the Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive. The most obvious difference between these two
categories to the general public is probably the different customs competitors or performers wear. Although nowadays designers
are becoming more and more creative about customs and jewelries, still there are very clear regulations about customs for
competitors set by IDSF. For beginners or daily practice, you do need some comfortable clothes and a good pair of dance shoes
for the dance you are going to do which you can usually get them in the studio or some online stores.

The two dancers in this photo are charles Wang and Pi-Hua Shen. Charles is one of the DanceSport representatives for Taiwan
and also one of the leading dancers in the dance company. Pi-Hua is a very talented dancer and a great Latin American Dance
performer.
